I’m an Australian writer, editor, publisher and researcher who lives between Melbourne and Athens, Greece. My fiction, criticism, essays and journalism have been published and anthologised in places like: Overland, Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Writing Anthology 2020, Sydney Review of Books, Island, Best Australian Short Stories, Australian Book Review, Slow Canoe, The Newcastle Short Story Anthology, Kill Your Darlings, The Australian, The Lifted Brow, The Sydney Morning Herald, Fireflies, The Age, The Guardian, Meanjin, Antithesis and Vice.
I’m a Felix Meyer Scholar, an R.G Wilson Scholar, and I’ve won, or been short-listed for, several prizes, including, most recently: The Alan Marshall Short Story Award 2020 (winner for ‘Show Don’t Tell’); The 2019 Newcastle Short Story Award (third place for ‘Small Acts of Love and Devotion’) and the ABR Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize 2017 & 2016 (runner up for ‘The Leaching Layer’; highly commended for ‘Help Me Harden My Heart’).
I’m a PhD candidate in Creative Writing at the University of RMIT and working on a novel called In Real Life.
